

Amy L. Grice, V.M.D. joined Drs Mountan, Mort & Williams as an associate in 1990, and became a partner in 1996 when the practice officially became Rhinebeck Equine LLP.
Dr. Grice grew up in Woodbury, CT, where she was a Pony Clubber and competed in local hunter-jumper shows and hunter paces.
She received her BA from Wellesley College in Massachusetts, then completed her veterinary education at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where she worked extensively in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
Dr. Grice’s areas of special interest are neonatology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, lameness, and anesthesia. She is a member of a VMG practice management study group, and devotes extensive time to management of practice concerns. In addition, she oversees Rhinebeck Equine’s Internship program jointly with Dr. Bassage.
Dr. Grice is a member of AAEP and the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, and served on the executive board of the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Society for five years. She is currently a board member of The Southlands Foundation and of the Marist College Premedical Advisory Committee. She teaches several times a year for the Marist Introduction to Health Professions class, as well as giving numerous seminars for local Pony Clubs, 4-H clubs and Rhinebeck Equine clients.
She owns several horses of her own, and enjoys riding for pleasure as often as possible. A resident of Rhinebeck, she is married and has two teenage sons.
