Christine M. Adreani, Ph.D, V.M.D. Diplomate ACVS

Dr. Christine M. Adreani began her extraordinary educational journey at Boston University, Boston, MA where she received her BA in Biology in 1992. She continued her education at the University of California in Davis, CA, earning her PhD in Exercise Physiology in 1996. In 2001 Dr. Adreani was granted her V.M.D from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Philadelphia, PA and went on to achieve board certification in Large Animal Surgery in 2006.

 

Following an internship in Large Animal Surgery at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, North Grafton, MA (2001-2002), Dr. Adreani did her residency in Large Animal Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Philadelphia, PA (2002-2005). She worked as an associate/ staff surgeon at Woodside Equine Clinic, LLC (2005-2006), Ashland, VA, before finding her way to Rhinebeck Equine, LLP in October of 2006.

 

Dr. Adreani’s areas of professional interest are Equine Surgery (specifically emergency and upper respiratory tract procedures), equine sports medicine, exercise physiology and lameness diagnoses.
During her free time she enjoys working with her 3-year-old thoroughbred filly, going to the gym and pursuing outdoor sports, especially hiking. She and her husband also enjoy working on their new home in the Village of Rhinebeck, which they share with several well-loved cats.
