

Dr. DeDeo joined Rhinebeck Equine as an associate in 2004.
She grew up in Rockland County, NY and began riding at the age of five. She successfully competed in hunt seat equitation, hunters and jumpers through her early twenties. Her dream of becoming a veterinarian started in the early years of her riding.
Dr. DeDeo received her B.S. in Biology at Rutgers University where she also became an avid rower and continued rowing with the US National Team a year after graduating college.
She graduated from Ross University on the island of St. Kitts in 2001. Her clinical year of veterinary school was completed at Oklahoma State University. Following graduation she completed a six month internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery, followed by a year internship in Equine Surgery at Equine Medical Associates in Edmond, OK. Dr. DeDeo stayed on board at EMA for another year as an associate. She then moved to Dutchess County to join Rhinebeck Equine.
Dr. DeDeo received her acupuncture training through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 2004 and is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. She has also completed a Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) diagnostics and acupuncture technique course through the Chi institute in Reddick, FL. Her most recent educational endeavor was at The Healing Oasis Wellness Center (HOWC) in Wisconsin where she became Certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulative Therapy (animal chiropractic).
Dr. DeDeo provides acupuncture and animal chiropractic services to areas in NY, NH and MA. Currently she is residing in Amherst, NH with her husband Rich, dogs Jessi and Jake and cat Simon. In their free time they enjoy hiking, climbing, camping and ocean kayaking.
