Reproductive Services:

The experienced ambulatory clinicians at Rhinebeck Equine LLP provide a wide range of reproductive services, from preventative care of the mare and stallion through delivery and neonatal care of your foal. We are experienced in managing routine natural breeding as well as artificial insemination of fresh, cooled, or frozen semen. We offer infertility workups on your mare or stallion. Our surgeons offer laser ablation of endometrial cysts and surgical repair of obstetric injuries such as cervical tears, perinea lacerations, and rectovaginal fistulas. Should the need arise, we have the capability to perform a delivery by cesarean section in our hospital.

We are pleased to welcome John Steiner DVM DACT, a board certified theriogenologist (reproductive specialist). Dr. Steiner comes to us from Hagyard, Davidson, and McGee in KY, where he practiced for many years, providing routine and specialized reproductive services to the Thoroughbred industry and entire equine community. He is sought after as a speaker and educator worldwide due to his experience and advanced knowledge in the field of reproduction. Dr. Steiner will be offering his expertise for mares and stallions with fertility issues, reproductive soundness evaluations, stallion semen evaluations, embryo transfer, insemination with fresh cooled and frozen semen, collection and shipment of cooled semen, and semen freezing.
