Cara Rosenbaum, DVM

CERTIFICATION IN VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURE

Dr. Cara Rosenbaum is a native of Westchester, NY, where she was surrounded by horses from an early age. Dr. Rosenbaum graduated from Brown University in 2012 with a degree in Psychology and then spent a year working for a high-level sports medicine practice in the northeast where her passion for show horses and the general well-being of the horse flourished. Following graduation from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, Dr. Rosenbaum completed an internship with Fairfield Equine where she continued to develop her skills in diagnostics and treatment of the equine athlete as well as emergency care.

Dr. Rosenbaum then moved to the midwest where she continued working with a diverse population of athletes and companion horses locally and on the Florida show circuit as a certified FEI vet. Dr. Rosenbaum also completed the Chi University acupuncture course, allowing her to treat her patients, whether upper-level competitors or geriatric companions (her two favorites), with a multi-modal approach. Each year, Dr. Cara Rosenbaum volunteers her time to provide care to the wild horses on Chincoteague Island during the annual pony round-up.

Her longing for New York bagels, good hiking, and her close-knit family brought Dr. Rosenbaum back to the east coast to join Rhinebeck Equine. She is thrilled to be back in the Hudson Valley where she, her husband Chris, two dogs, and her forever pony can enjoy the outdoors together.
