Dr. Rachaul O’Connell is from Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She obtained dual degrees in Animal Science and Business Management from the Univeristy of Massachusetts Amherst, where she rode for the IHSA team for four years. Dr. O’Connell then attended Tufts University for veterinary school. She is interested in reproduction and emergency medicine but enjoys all aspects of equine medicine. Her slightly feral cat, Percy, is joining her in Rhinebeck. She also has a 33-year-old Morgan horse named Cinnamon who still works once a week as a lesson horse at her childhood barn. Dr. O’Connell spends most of her free time outside, often hiking, snowboarding, scuba diving, or camping.
