Veterinary Technician Internships

The Rhinebeck Equine technician internship program is an opportunity for students to get intensive clinical experience in an equine private practice setting with both ambulatory and referral hospital services. This program is exclusively available to students enrolled in an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program.

Our practice is committed to providing interns with a rewarding and diverse educational experience. Mentoring is provided by our numerous Licensed Veterinary Technicians in areas such as hospitalized patient care, surgery, anesthesia, internal medicine, theriogenology, ophthalmology, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, and ambulatory medicine.

While we expect our interns to work hard, they also have ample time to recharge and enjoy the beautiful Hudson Valley Region of Upstate New York.

The length of each internship is student-dependent and tailored to each student’s needs. This is an unpaid internship; however, we provide on-site housing. Our program offers dedicated and authentic mentorship during and after the internship to enhance the professional development of our interns. Past interns have a high passing rate for the Veterinary Technician National Exam and have successful careers in both small and large animal medicine.
