Rhinebeck Equine has the largest equine referral hospital and ambulatory service in the Hudson Valley, with board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, theriogenology, and ophthalmology. Postion Overview:

As a veterinary assistant, your responsibilities include but are not limited to; restraining patients, preparing supplies needed for each call, helping to write the farm sheets, restocking supplies in the truck, rotating inventory in the truck, assisting in taking radiographs, scrubbing for procedures, billing for farm visits, and driving the vet truck. We cross-train our staff and work as a team, so you will have opportunities to learn and work in other areas of our hospital.

Excellent customer service skills, computer skills, and horse knowledge are vital to this role. Your horse-handling skills are key to success in this role. A valid driver's license is essential. Previous experience as a veterinary assistant in an equine setting is a prerequisite for this position.

This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and full, top-tier benefits. A flexible schedule is required.
